Alex Barcello

Coming out of the 2017 class, Alex Barcello committed to Arizona where he spent two seasons before entering the Transfer Portal. Both seasons Alex averaged less than 10 minutes per game while shooting around 30% from the three and 50% from the field.

Hailing from Tempe Arizona, Barcello was ranked 1st out of Arizona, the 17th PG, and No. 83 nationally.

The Wolverines do not need another PG; however, Barcello could fit in if Juwan decided to go with a two PG set and Alex would be the best candidate as he would be the tallest at the position.

The downside to Barcello is his inconsistency. Last year with the Wildcats, Alex had a fantastic game against Georgia Southern, hitting 4-7 from beyond the arc and finished the game with 16 points. The problem is Barcello only reached the 10 point mark three other times over his two years in Arizona.

The kid knows what he needs to do to win and should only need some guidance and confidence to become a collegiate star.

There’s a reason 247Sports ranked him within the top 100 ( No. 83), the No. 17 PG, and No. 1 out of Arizona. Should Michigan give him the chance, he could flourish under whatever system Juwan puts together.
