Michigan football: 5 Recruits that could change the game for Wolverines
Does he like it or love it?
Andre Seldon is the only CB on the books for Michigan football so far, but the words of one future collegiate star could mean great things are coming to Ann Arbor, great big game-changing things.
“I love Michigan,” Darion Green-Warren proclaimed. “I’ve been talking with Coach [Mike] Z[ordich] and Coach [Jim] Harbaugh a lot, and plan on being there for their barbecue in late July.
“I’ve been talking with each of those guys for a while now, so I feel like I’ve gotten to know them pretty well. Coach Z’s resume speaks for itself. They push their defense to be the best it can be, and that’s exactly what I’m looking for.”
Darion is ranked 18th out of California where he attends Narbonne High School. He is also ranked as the 14th CB and 197 nationally. His composite is really high at 9241 and he holds four-stars.
While Darion would be a great distance from home, he says that’s not a factor in his recruiting.
“The distance doesn’t mean anything to me — I lived in Oklahoma for seven years, so it’s not a big thing. I’ll take my official visits during the season, and I know for a fact Michigan will get one, along with USC and Georgia.”
In fact, his top six schools only include one team from out west- USC. The rest include Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Nebraska, and Georgia.
Both Rivals and 247Sports have Darion leaning in the direction of USC.
