Michigan football: 5 Recruits that could change the game for Wolverines
This summer couldn’t have been busier for Michigan football when it comes to recruiting. Guess what? It’s not over yet.
15 recruits committed to Michigan football since May. 15 young men verbally committed to the program for the 2020 class in the last two months and they don’t appear to be done yet. They shouldn’t be.
So far for the 2020 class, there are 21 commits, one more than the 2018 class and five less than last year. The way its shaping up, this class could be similar to 2017 which saw 30 commitments.
Jim Harbaugh’s first year he only received 14 pledges which he quickly turned around making his mark on the recruiting trail. With recruiting a priority in his first off-season, Jim went from having the 37 ranked class nationally to eighth, adding in the No.1 recruit in the class, Rashan Gary.
Complacency hit in 2018, dropping again outside of the top 10 nationally but they wouldn’t let that stick. 2019 saw Michigan back at eight and first in the Big Ten and 2020 is shaping up to be even better.
Sitting behind Ohio State, Michigan is ranked 6th nationally and the sky is the limit for how this class will end up. There is so much talent for the picking and the recruiting board remains full of top talent from around the county.
Just who are those guys Michigan is looking at? While it’s not limited to the prospects I will be covering, these are certainly some of the guys that could change the game for UM.
With that said, let’s take a look at each of these five gifted young athletes.
