4-star CB Darion Green-Warren

Just like at wide receiver, teams generally want to have multiple defensive backs in each recruiting class. With the way the game is headed and with more passes being thrown than probably ever before, depth at corner and safety is too important not to have.

Michigan does have a commitment from four-star corner Andre Seldon, yet the Wolverines would also love to get their hands on former Oklahoma commit Darion Green-Warren.

Green-Warren is from Harbor City, California. He is listed as the 14th-best corner and is 197th overall. He was committed to Oklahoma, however, after some staff changes, he opened up his recruitment again and Michigan football has been pushing hard recently to gain ground.

“Right now it’s between Nebraska, Michigan, Michigan State, USC, Penn State and Georgia,” Green-Warren said to 247 sports. He said he plans to visit Penn State during the season and will also visit Michigan starting with the Wolverines annual recruiting BBQ July 29.

USC is the favorite according to 247 sports, holding 88 percent of his crystal balls, but since he is not announcing until the All-American Bowl, UM has plenty of time to make up ground.
