Michigan Football: 5 key recruiting battles left for Wolverines in 2020
Michigan football has had tremendous success in recruiting the past two weeks but the Wolverines aren’t done yet and here are five key recruits to watch.
Jim Harbaugh and his coaching staff have done a spectacular job recruiting over the past two weeks. Michigan football has landed 11 commitments and the Wolverines 2020 class surged from 23rd, all the way to No. 6.
During this recruiting hot streak, Michigan football has landed key players on both sides of the ball. Offensively, wide receivers A.J. Henning and Roman Wilson will bring plenty of speed and big-play ability to Josh Gattis offensive system. Four-star running back Blake Corum should be another impact player, along with additions to the offensive line with Jeffrey Persi and Reece Atteberry.
Yet, the defensive staff has also done its share of damage and it started on June 23rd when Michigan landed commitments from William Mohan and Aaron Lewis. Mohan will play the viper, while Lewis is a strong-side defensive end and flip from West Virginia.
Jordan Morant, the top 2020 safety according to 247 sports own rankings also committed that same weekend. The 5-foot-11 safety, who is ranked 159th overall according to the 247 composite rankings, gives UM another elite player at the position to pair with Daxton Hill in the future.
Then, Kalel Mullings committed last week, which for a short time, pushed Michigan into the top-5 nationally and made the Wolverines 2020 class No. 1 in the Big Ten.
However, even with 21 commitments, there is still work to do and here is a look at five key recruiting battles left for Michigan in 2020.
