The footwork skills learned in basketball show up on the football field, too. Dellinger has great balance and is versatile enough to play either guard or tackle. In fact, I expect him to move outside at the collegiate level.
Possessing 6-foot-6 size, it’s easy to see why he has emerged as one of the top-five players in the state. He is listed as the fifth-best player in the state of Michigan according to the 247 composite rankings and is No. 121 overall. Yet, in the 247 sports proprietary rankings, he’s listed as the top offensive tackle and the best player in the state, as well as No. 29 overall.
He is the type of big-bodied tackle that Ed Warinner thrives with, but he is considered a Notre Dame lean at this time. Thankfully, it’s still very early in the process.
This would be one of the biggest gets possible for Michigan in the 2021 cycle.
