3-star (East Lansing, MI) WR Andrel Anthony

If Michigan football was able to land Anthony, a three-star wide receiver from 2021, it would be the definition of plucking a prospect out of your rival’s backyard.

Anthony attends East Lansing High School, and Michigan State is also in on his recruitment. According to the 247 sports rankings, Anthony ranks as the No. 353 prospect overall and 57th among receivers, as well as 11th in the state of Michigan.

He first popped up on the radar when he attended a Michigan football camp in June 2018. He took an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor in April of this year and received an offer on June 8.

At 6-foot-2, Anthony has intriguing height for the position. Only weighing 165 pounds, he needs to add some muscle if he wants to play on the outside.

Sherrone Moore has been running the point on this one and it looks like it might pay off. The Wolverines hold both of the three-star’s Crystal Ball forecasts. He also has offers from Indiana and Purdue.
