Jordan Poole

The smooth operator Jordan Poole has a fascinating and yet disappointing season for the maize and blue. Averaging just 12.8 points-per-game, Poole was expected to be the Wolverines best shooter and with a 37% average from behind the line, he didn’t deliver.

At times he showed he could be a top NBA talent like the game against South Carolina where he amassed a season-high 26 points. There was also the time against Minnesota where he shot 50% from beyond the arc, however, there were too many other times when he struggled mightily, taking unnecessary shots and missing a majority.

Jordan could have used one more season in Ann Arbor but that’s no longer an option so here’s where he should fit in best.

Charlotte Hornets Pick 53

The Hornets are in need of a 3-point shooter and while Poole may have struggled beyond the arc last year, his shot can be refined making him a potential six-man after a year in the development league.

Here’s what CBS Sports Brad Botkin had to say about the Hornets team needs, “Charlotte is just simply in need of a ‘best player available’ approach, because it is lacking true difference-making talent out of Kemba Walker, who of course is a risk to leave in free agency.”

New York Knicks Pick 55

The Knicks need everything at this point since the Kevin Durant is not a guarantee for next season and Kyrie Irving might be headed to greener pastures. To top it all off, the Knicks ‘lost’ the lottery to the Pelicans so they may need to take a chance on a promising star like Poole to help fill the void.
