Shea Patterson

Who better to begin the list but the senior leader behind center, Shea Patterson. Last year for the Wolverines, Shea threw for 2600 yards on 210 completed passes which included 22 TD’s to just 7 interceptions.

In 2017 with Ole Miss, Patterson went 166/260 for 2,259 yards, 17 TD’s and 9 Ints in just seven games.

Class: 2016

FL: 1 Pro: 1 National: 4 All-time: 63 Composite: 9982 5-star

You know a guy is really good at his job when he has his own Wikipedia page.

Many speculated Shea would turn Pro after such a fine season but he felt there was some unfinished business at UM.

“I just thought to myself there’s no way in hell I’m leaving this place on that note. Regardless of a draft grade, whatever the case may be, I would never end my career with an opportunity to come back with a loss to that team.” Shea said after the bowl loss to Florida, “That’s the one thing that has ignited me. I think one of the biggest things that impacted me coming back – one of them – was that last game in Columbus.

Growing up a Michigan fan, he knew he couldn’t end on such a sour note.

“I just felt we worked so hard and had such a good season leading up to that game. I was more upset that I couldn’t do enough to get us a win. I love the guys so much and let down the Michigan fan base, and I just felt like we all did that day. That just brought a lot of emotions. Anger. I think anger was the biggest one. I hated to lose and even more, I hated to lose to them, especially with what we had in front of us.”

Maybe this year under new offensive coordinator Josh Gattis, Patterson could reach his true potential and throw for more touchdowns and yards than he did in his sophomore year of High School at Calvary Baptist (2,655 yards/34 TD’s).
