Notre Dame

The Fighting Irish defeated the Wolverines last season on their home turf but this time the game will take place in the Big House on October 26th.

Much like the Wolverines, Notre Dame lost their top rusher and top linebacker and both are looking to replace guys at several key positions.

The major difference between these schools is the schedule. Notre Dame’s 2018 schedule includes away games against Lousiville, Georgia, Duke, and Stanford. If they can pull off wins in two of those four road games it would be a miracle and if they can beat them all including Michigan, they should be awarded the National Championship without having to go through Clemson.

The maize and blue will hope to recreate the magic they put together the last time the mini Irishmen were in the Big House which was all the way back in 2013 when they beat Notre Dame 41-30.

What’s certain is Notre Dame will face extreme adversity well before they get off the bus in Ann Arbor which is scary considering Michigan football’s toughest opponent prior to the game is arguably Army or Wisconsin.

What will be new for Michigan is Ian Book who took over QB duties from Brandon Wimbush a few weeks after the Irish played UM.

Ian ended the season with 2,628 yards including 19 TDs and only 7 INTs.

My prediction: High flying offenses with turnovers making the difference, Michigan Wolverines 34, Notre Dame 28.
