Zeb Jackson

Zeb Jackson is the only player committed to the Wolverines for 2020 and it’s important that Howard continues to recruit him to stay.

Soon after Howard was hired, Jackson, who is coached by Zavier Simpson’s father, showed encouragement about the move and basically said that if Michigan continued to want him, he would be committed to the program.

The key word though from Zeb Jackson Sr. in that quote by Brendan Quinn is that as long as the staff is as excited about Zeb as coach Beilein was. To prove that, Howard is going to have to make Jackson feel like a priority, he can’t be ignored.

Jackson, a 6-foot-2 guard, has been compared by some to Trey Burke. He is an outstanding shooter and all-around scorer and playing down in Florida next season, instead of Ohio, should garner him more attention. He’s the 59th overall player in 2020 already, which gives Michigan basketball a great starting point for this class as long as Howard can keep his commitment firm.
