NCAA Tournament

This Michigan basketball team will not only make the NCAA Tournament but they’re also going to make a deeper run than Michigan State.

For this to happen the Wolverines are going to need to find themselves in a favorable bracket much like last year, but I could easily see two or three wins in the postseason.

It’s not so far fetched that they make it past State as the Sparty’s didn’t make it farther than the second round in two of the last three seasons, including a loss to 11 seed Syracuse the season before last. That season, State entered the tournament as a three seed.

As to the issue of the losses suffered by the maize and blue: Moritz Wagner, Duncan Robinson, and Muhammed-Ali Abdul-Rahkman all left Michigan for the Pros after making it to the National Championship game and the following season, Michigan went 17-0 for the first time in program history finishing 30-7.

Another trio is leaving and while I don’t see another long undefeated run, the Wolverines will win well over 20 games and have a few upsets during March Madness.

Next. 3 predictions for Juwan Howard's first season. dark

Look for Michigan to get a ten or twelve seed and have similar success to Oregon who dominated Wisconsin in the first round, pulverized UC Irvine in the second, and met their match in their third game against the eventual champs, the Virginia Cavaliers.
