Steve Prohm

Another guy that might not be considered a big name but would be a great hire is Iowa State head coach Steve Prohm, who has a strong record of success with the Cyclones and at Murray State.

Like White, the fact that Prohm has won at two different places is impressive and in six of his eight seasons as a head coach, his team has won either the regular-season or conference tournament title.

Prohm has a 4-4 record in four trips to the NCAA tournament and at 45 years old, he is the perfect age to be in for the long haul. He will also know to recruit in the midwest and even though Iowa State has had some success, it’s not on the same level as Michigan.

Iowa State has been a really good offensive team under Prohm, ranking 67th or better in scoring in three of his four seasons, including two in the top-20, so it feels like a natural fit. This is a name to watch.
