Michigan Football: Where the Wolverines rank in each top 25 poll
What does it all mean?
Absolutely nothing. Teams fall apart while others thrive on the madness that is college football. Outside of the Clemson and Alabama dynasties, anyone could finish the season anywhere.
The bold strategy CBS sports employed by ranking UCF in the top 15 could come true. Or they could have disastrous injuries and end up ranked closer to No. 130 on the over-achiever boards.
Either way, Michigan is ranked in the top ten in all but one of the preseason rankings above. Bleacher Report had them ranked the highest at No. 5 and CBS Sports knocks the Wolverines down to No. 12.
What matters is where Michigan football stands at the beginning of December and if they are making a trip to Indy and/or potentially heading to New Orleans in the new year.
