Michigan Football: 3 ways South Africa trip can help Wolverines win
It adds to the cool factor
One of Jim Harbaugh’s goals, when he became the head coach of the Wolverines, was to make Michigan football an attraction once again.
When he first came on board, he did a lot of social media stuff and tried to draw a lot of attention as he pushed the Wolverines back in the national spotlight. Even though everyone may not like the strategy it has worked.
Not only has Harbaugh brought a lot of cool people around Michigan football, guys like Derek Jeter, Tom Brady, Charles Woodson, Chris Webber and others, he has also come up with great ideas to keep the players having fun.
With so many cool pictures and videos coming out, as well as praise from players such as Cade McNarama, who said on Twitter that going to South Africa has been one of the best experiences of his life, it’s only going to help that image. Other recruits will see that and parents probably will too.
Of course, things like this trip will always cause some envy. Let’s face it, not every program can do things like this and at the end of the day, that’s why it’s a benefit. Being a Michigan football player is something unique and trips like the one to South Africa are a reminder of that.
