Power Forward

Starter: Isaiah Livers

Backups: Brandon Johns Jr., Colin Castleton

When the Wolverines compete against a taller team, Castleton could fill in to take up some space; however, Isaiah Livers has the power forward position locked down and even if/when coach John Beilein chooses to go big, Livers will stay on the court at small forward.

The main backup here is going to be Brandon Johns Jr. Last season, Brandon shot 9-18 from the field including 1-3 from the three-point line during his limited inaugural season.

The former East Lansing High School star – that’s right stolen right out of the Sparty’s back yard – averaged 28.1 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks during his senior year.

Preferred walk-on Jaron Faulds is another option. He sat out the 2018-19 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Senior Austin Davis is the last option due to his slow ‘motor‘ and as Michigan basketball’s website puts it, Davis is “usually one of the first bigs off the bench, seeing minutes backing up Jon Teske.”
