Nick Patterson

As we watch Shea Patterson fling the ball over the field this season knowing he will have exhausted his eligibility, Michigan football fans can put aside any concern for the future.

Shea’s younger brother, Nick Patterson, will continue the tradition of Patterson’s leading the Wolverines to victory.

Just two weeks ago, I wrote about Nick’s commitment and about his soaring ranking.

"Nick has been moving up pretty significantly since his first grades came out. In fact, when he announced he was coming to Michigan,  Nick was ranked 662nd in the nation, 20th at tight end and 98th in Texas. 247sports now has him at 513th in the nation, 16th at tight end and 66th in Texas."

The 6-foot-3-inch 225-pound tight end from San Antonio Christian in Texas is currently ranked 66th in Texas, 16th at the position, and 515th nationally, per 247sports.

Rivals list Nick sixth at the tight end spot, 26th in the state, and 211th nationally.

Based off his highlights, it’s surprising he’s only a three-star; however, the younger Patterson still has a season to go and so far, his ranking and stars are rising as he continues to decimate his competition.
