Karan Higdon

It shouldn’t take long for the Florida native to get selected this afternoon. His prospect grade has Karan Higdon as an NFL backup or special teams potential but Michigan football fans and coaches alike know he has more potential than that.

Higdon was the first Wolverine to have a 1,000+ rushing season since Denard Robinson in 2012 and while he may not be the tallest guy in the room – 5-foot-9-inches – he has tremendous upside and he is a tough runner.

Even there was plenty of talented guys ranked ahead of him coming into the draft, the third round ended up being the round of running backs. A total of five running backs were taken in the third bringing the total amount taken off the board to seven.

Higdon who ran a sub 4.5 forty at the NFL combine will likely hear his name called early today despite Lance Zierlein’s sixth-round prediction.
