Andre Seldon

Position: Cornerback

Height: 5-foot-9-inches

Weight: 154 pounds

High School: Belleville

Andre Seldon has been a Michigan Man since June of 2018 when he announced his commitment to play for the maize and blue.

Andre said in a tweet:

"Dear Grandma, AKA Toky. I wish you could be here to witness this. I know you’re smiling down on me hard as ever about everything that i’ve accomplished so far, I love you dearly. Now to my supporting cast, without you guys none of this would be possible. Thanks to my Dad, Coach Crowell, My mother(s), Coach Toma and everybody else who was here for this long journey. Last but not least, THANK YOU GOD. Without you none of this would be possible. Without further ado, im ecstatic to announce that i’m a MICHIGAN MAN, GO BLUE"

What they are saying

Seldon has risen to sixth in the state and the 19th overall cornerback, per 247sports. His verified results include a 4.5 forty, 4.22 shuttle, and a 38.10-inch verticle.

He was also previously listed as a three-star prospect but made his way into the four-star category with a .9125 composite rating.

While Andre is listed at 5-foot-9-inches, his coach would say his height is not a problem “because he thinks he is the biggest guy. He is going to make up for it with his heart, his athleticism.

“He is super fast and is super competitive. He will go stick his nose up in there. He is a leader on the field.”

Belleville’s coach Jermain Crowell also highlighted Andre’s toughness.

“Even with a bad hamstring, he is still a dominant player.”

What he says

As the second to commit to Michigan out of the 2020 class, Andre has taken it upon himself to recruit others on behalf of the Michigan coaches.

Seldon says he has been in contact with RaShawn Williams, Makari Paige and Ohioian Michael Dreenen in an effort to bring their respective talents to the Wolverines.

“We met in the eighth-grade at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp,’’ Seldon said of the running back Drennen. “We were both MVPs. From there our dads met. Since then we’ve been real close like brothers. We saw each other at camps and went to Orlando in January for a camp. That’s my guy.’’
