RaShawn Williams

Position: wide receiver

Height: 6-foot-1-inch

Weight: 190 pounds

High School: Martin Luther King

RaShawn Williams, the speedster from Detroit is on commitment watch; he is scheduled to make his announcement six days from now and Michigan is high on his list.

What they are saying

According to 247sports, Williams is a four-star wide receiver and earned a.9360 composite score. They rank him 3rd in the state and the 33rd ranked wide receiver for the 2020 class.

Rivals also ranked Rashawn as a four-star but they have him as the second best football player in Michigan; however, he dropped nationally to 39th.

What he says

Williams was interviewed after attending the Michigan football game versus Penn State back in November.

“The visit was great,” Williams said. “I loved the atmosphere, and the fans were just amazing, Michigan was never out of my top 3 schools, but I just never made a list, you never hear anything bad about the staff from the players and commits”.

Rashawn came back to Michigan in January for Michigan’s Junior Day and was even more impressed, especially with the new offensive coordinator.

“I feel like my mom really got a good feel for the program and what is in the making with the new offensive coordinator,” Williams remarked. He went on to describe his interaction with Josh Gattis, saying it was like “meeting a football wizard.”

Highlights

Williams highlights can be found here. Although I couldn’t find any seasonal stats, RaShawn and Co. not only made the playoffs but also won the championship. On November 23rd, Detroit Martin Luther King defeated Muskegon for the Division 3 state title.
