Starters: Carlo Kemp and Donovan Jeter

Defensive tackle is another position where Michigan football had depth concerns going into the spring, yet not so much anymore. Kemp is back to start for the second straight year after earning his way into the lineup last season and notching four tackles for loss and a sack. He is going to start and alongside him will be Donovan Jeter, who put together a standout spring.

Backup(s): Mazi Smith, Chris Hinton, Michael Dwumfour

The Wolverines are supremely deep at defensive tackle but with the addition of impact freshmen like Smith and Hinton, UM should be just fine. Dwumfour is right on part with Kemp and Jeter, he’s a little down because of health issues but all three should have a big role and in truth, all five of these guys should rotate quite a bit this season. Dwumfour was the hot name last year and we will see if he can overtake Jeter, who is the hot name right now at DT.
