Michigan basketball had three players declare for the NBA draft and hire agents. One of them was Ignas Brazdeikis. Here are five possible replacements.

Over the last three years, the Michigan basketball team has gotten used to a couple of things: success and the NBA draft process and as much as fans loathe this time of the year, the two go hand in hand.

Michigan basketball wouldn’t have made three straight Sweet 16 appearances without having some NBA talent and the Wolverines certainly wouldn’t have come within one win of a national championship in 2018, as well as back-to-back 30 win seasons.

Admittedly, it has been hard to gauge the NBA interest of both Ignas Brazdeikis and Jordan Poole throughout the season. It was clear that both wanted to play in the NBA, I mean who doesn’t? But it was hard to tell if their stock was going to be high enough to get drafted after inconsistent play.

Iggy has less to worry about than Poole. He’s 6-foot-8, athletic and can shoot. He can hit 3-pointers and play the three or four. He rebounds well and has the makings of at least a solid defender, although he could be forced into some difficult matchups as a bit of a tweener.

He certainly has an NBA body and seems driven to be successful. At the very least, he does a number of things well and still has a lot of room to grow, just scratching the surface of what he could be.

The final decision for Iggy and Poole is still about a month away, or at least that’s the deadline to return if they chose to do so. However, when it comes to Brazdeikis unless he gets a worse evaluation than expected, he seems headed to the league and if that’s the case, here are five guys that could potentially replace him in the starting lineup.
