Tight Ends Sean Mckeon and Nick Eubanks Give Their Opinion

Michigan Football’s Sean McKeon told reporters coach Gattis refers to the tight ends as “big speed in space” and added:

"“Obviously, everyone needs to be fast when you’re running routes. I think we have some pretty fast tight ends.”"

McKeon also talked about what the RPO provides the offense.

"“In the RPO world, we’re always a threat to block, a threat to run a route, it really puts linebackers and safeties in a bind. They don’t know whether we’re going to release on a route or blocking someone. The big plays come in that aspect of the game for tight ends.”"

Nick Eubanks took the time to explain how quarterback Shea Patterson is adjusting.

"“(Patterson) is acing the offense right now, that’s who most of the guys go to if they need help with the concepts of the offense. Yeah, he’s acing it.” “He has been stepping up a lot. He’s been more vocal on the offense. You can look through his eyes and see that he wants to lead, the offense has no problem following in his footsteps, so we’ve been going off of him and anything he says."

The players are having fun and learning the new system quickly and everyone appears to be happy, but it’s critical to know what people outside the organization are saying about Gattis and his style of coaching.
