Mike Danna

Has everyone forgotten about the graduate transfer defensive end Mike Danna?

Aiden Hutchinson is a top talent and so is Kwity Paye but Mike Danna did some incredible work at Central Michigan. At Central, Danna accounted for 151 total tackles and 15 sacks; 8.5 of those sacks were from the 2018 season.

While the MAC is not the Big Ten, Danna is coming to a team not returning a starter on either side of the nose.

Also, Danna had the perfect answer when he was asked about potential playing time.

"“I think I have a good chance. But Coach Harbaugh let it be known everything has to be earned. That’s my language. I’m about competing, I’m about hard work. I don’t want the starting job handed to me. I want to shed my blood and sweat to feel I earned it.”"

And defensive coordinator Shaun Nua seems to think highly of Danna.

"“He’s experienced and he’s very productive at his previous school. He’s a guy that fits in right with what we are doing. And he’s a great young man as well.”"
