Oliver Martin

Oliver Martin will be a junior (redshirt sophomore) this year and he has a similar opportunity as Andrighetto in that there are key injuries at the wide receiver position. Donovan Peoples-Jones could be out for an extended period and Nico Collins had surgery and is still not practicing.

Martin was a four-star recruit back in 2017 but redshirted because of the depth at receiver in his class with guys like Peoples-Jones, Tarik Black and Collins all part of that group. But last season, he started to turn heads.

This spring, he has continued gaining the attention of coach Harbaugh.

"“Mike Sainristil is the H, Oliver Martin is starting at X and Tarik Black is the Z, Ronnie Bell is hot on the heels of those three guys. Erick All has been really good this spring. He’s been playing some receiver and he’s been playing some tight end. He’s got a lot of talent.”"

Oliver didn’t see playing time his freshman year but he recorded 11 receptions for 125 yards during his sophomore campaign and he caught a touchdown against Rutgers back in November. Now, he has a chance to play a bigger role.
