Shooting Guard

Starter: Jordan Poole

Backups: Eli Brooks, Adrien Nunez

The backup position is completely dependant on Nunez’ player progression.

“He’s been on the scout team the last couple of days and he hasn’t been missing shots.” Assistant coach DeAndre Haynes said, “Right now, he’s playing behind an elite wing and I think he has a bright future, he just has to continue to grow.”

Nunez himself knew he wasn’t going to get playing time immediately.

“Coming into this situation, I knew I wouldn’t be getting a lot of playing time my first year, so I’m not emotionally distraught, you know what I mean?” Nunez remarked, “I’m just trying to learn as much as I can so next year is as smooth as possible.”

Brooks would be the better pick in a small lineup type situation like the one Michigan Basketball faced against Montana in the first round of the tournament and Nunez – standing at 6-foot-6 would be the pick when playing the much taller guards.
