A graduate transfer is always an option

If Beilein is counting on having Poole and Iggy and one or both ends up leaving than a graduate transfer is certainly a possibility. Even if both guys stay, Michigan basketball could add another and likely make the numbers work.

If Matthews is the only player that ends up leaving, the Wolverines won’t have a ton of needs. Livers could step into his role as a starter and if not him, Wilson could make a run at it. The rotation would be deep and talented.

Michigan could still use some more perimeter shooting and more scorers. If the chance to add a veteran shooter arises, even if he ends up just coming off the bench, it would be worth it.

You can never have enough shooting and this past season, Michigan definitely didn’t. It ended up costing the Wolverines a Big Ten championship and a chance to go deeper in the NCAA tournament.

Having an elite defense is great and it should be really good next year too, but unless the offense can learn to score more consistently especially in one-on-one situations, the Sweet 16 might be the ceiling and while that would have been great a few years ago, that’s no longer acceptable.
