Michigan has more scorers to work with

The Wolverines don’t have great offensive numbers seeing that they rank 244th in the nation in scoring average with just over 70 points a game. Texas Tech is slightly better at 73.2 PPG, which ranks 155th, however, in terms of efficiency, UM ranks 19th, 16 spots ahead of the Red Raiders who are 35th.

A big reason for that is that Michigan has more options offensively. While Culver is the best offensive player in this game, the Wolverines have Ignas Brazdeikis, Matthews, Jordan Poole, as well as Isaiah Livers, Simpson and Jon Teske.

Texas Tech has four players that average eight points or more but Michigan has six and all of them are at least capable 3-point shooters, even Teske and Simpson at times. Culver, Davide Moretti and Matt Mooney, along with Tariq Owens are the big names for the Red Raiders

Points are going to be hard to come by in this matchup and the first team to 60 might just win it, that’s why every ounce of offensive talent is key and on paper at least, Michigan has more, at least more players capable of going off.
