Round of 32 opponent: Nevada

Nevada is the No. 7 seed in the West Region and after being ranked in the top 10 for 16 weeks this season, it seems like the Wolf Pack are a little better than your average seven seed.

Yet, when you look at where Nevada ranks in the Kenpom rankings (25th) it makes a lot more sense. But that doesn’t mean the Wolf Pack aren’t going to be a tough out because they might be the one team capable of eliminating Michigan basketball this weekend.

At the very least, Nevada seems to have the best chance. Much like Michigan, the Wolf Pack do a great job of taking care of the ball and defensively, they rank 33rd in defensive efficiency.

Offensively, Nevada is led by Caleb Martin and Jordan Caroline who combine to score over 36 points per game. Each is 6-foot-7 and could test the Michigan defense with their length.

Martin and Caroline were also key members of the team that went to the Sweet 16 last season, so if Nevada survives into the round of 32, knocking them out will be anything but easy.
