A number of players are out right now

One of the big things that I took away from Harbaugh’s press conference Monday was that a number of key players were dealing with injuries/offseason surgeries.

Maybe the news that will be the most disappointing for Michigan football fans is the fact that incoming freshman Zach Charbonnet had to get his knee scoped during the winter and he will be unavailable this spring according to Harbaugh.

That is disappointing because he was a guy many expected to compete at running back, yet he isn’t the only big name that will be missing time this spring. Other players that are recovering from surgeries are Nico Collins and Lavert Hill. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Michael Dwumfour are also out right now with unknown injuries.

Certainly, having those guys miss workouts isn’t ideal, but they are all proven players except for Charbonnet. But with a new offense being installed, it’s not ideal to have your two best wide receivers on the sideline right now.
