Michigan lands in a favorable bracket again

If you had told me that Michigan was going to end up in the same bracket as Gonzaga, I would take it. That is preferable at least to North Carolina, Duke and Virginia.

That’s not to say that the Wolverines couldn’t beat either of those teams or that they will be able to be the Zags. However, the bracket seems to set up pretty well for the Wolverines. All in all, I would rather Michigan’s draw than Michigan State’s.

Also if you are going to try out a bracket, try Sports Illustrated real-time brackets game. You can change your picks as you go.

You have to have some problem with the ACC getting three No. 1 seeds. All of those teams were probably deserving, but Michigan State or Michigan probably deserved one too. At least in my opinion.

Maybe that debate will be settled in a couple of weeks. It would be great to see Michigan and Gonzaga go at it in the Elite 8. I predicted that a few weeks ago and I think there is a good chance that will happen, although Texas Tech is a really good team and Florida State is no slouch either.

Of course, a lot of unexpected things are going to happen and right now, Michigan’s sole focus should be the University of Montana.
