Harbaugh will try to keep the offense hidden

This shouldn’t really be viewed as a bold prediction or anything but it’s safe to say that Jim Harbaugh is going to do whatever he can to keep the new offense for Michigan football under wraps.

While things might not change drastically, Harbaugh still doesn’t want to give teams an extra look and last year, when the weather canceled the spring game, there was probably no one more delighted than the Wolverines head coach.

Harbaugh is notoriously stingy with allowing media access, so this spring don’t expect a ton of videos or information pouring out about who’s doing what, although there will be some.

But more than anything, don’t expect a wide open offense during the spring game. I am sure there will be some new things, but remember, Patterson was in the shotgun a lot last season. There will still be a lot of the same principles and how it all morphs together might be the biggest question of the spring.

Unfortunately, there will be a limited amount of information to answer that question this spring because that’s just how Harbaugh operates and we won’t see anything close to a full arsenal of offensive plays until Big Ten play starts in 2019, which is probably the way it should be.
