Iggy needs to avoid fouls

Like Wagner before him, one thing that can take Iggy out of a game quickly is foul trouble and that more than anything took him out of things against Michigan State last Saturday night.

In the most important game of the regular season, Brazdeikis came out firing against the Spartans until his second personal foul put him on the bench for the rest of the first half. It limited his minutes and his impact and that can’t happen this week.

Brazdeikis is a competitor and sometimes he makes rash decisions trying to block shots, get steals or run people over offensively. He is tenacious attacking the basket and the boards but he needs to be smart.

The Big Ten Freshman of the Year is one of the league’s top talents and if the Wolverines are going to beat three good teams in a row to win another tournament championship, they will need Brazdeikis to be at his absolute best.
