Who will emerge at running back?

When it comes to the offensive side of the ball, there aren’t a ton of question marks when it comes to the starting lineup. However, one position that is very unsettled is running back.

Karan Higdon had been the starter for the past two seasons and after rushing for more than 1,100 yards last year, he will be graduating and hopefully playing in the NFL next season.

That seemed to leave the door wide open for Chris Evans to grab the job in his senior season but academic troubles mean he isn’t currently part of the team. So what does that mean for Michigan football?

Well, it means that Christian Turner and Tru Wilson are the two guys back that will be vying for the job along with Zach Charbonnet who has enrolled early and will participate in spring practices. Charbonnet is a stud recruit and a top-5 back in the country. He, Turner and Wilson could form a nice trio but others like Hassan Haskins will also try to make an impression this spring.
