Bench finally steps up

Maybe the most important thing we learned in the win over the Huskers was that the bench actually has a pulse.

With Matthews out, the bench was going to have to play more minutes and someone was going to have to step up and it turns out that Colin Castleton was the guy.

Castleton, a freshman, played just nine minutes of game action but in that time, he was impressive. He was 5-of-7 from the field and even got to the free throw line with an and one. That make gave him 11 points. He also grabbed three rebounds in limited action.

David Dejulius only scored a couple of points, but he grabbed four rebounds and at least looked the part and is able to defend. He’s a guy, along with Castleton that should get some more minutes over the last couple of games as Michigan basketball could use more depth for the postseason.
