Makari Paige

Makari Paige is a really intriguing prospect and he is the top defensive back in the state of Michigan in 2020 and at 6-foot-3, 182 pounds, there is a lot of like about what he can do.

Paige is ranked just outside the top 200 in terms of overall prospects for the 2020 class and he is ranked as the 13th-best safety, making him a solid four-star. So far, the Wolverines appear to be in charge of his recruitment, as they hold 80 percent of his crystal balls, however, their main competition is Ohio State right now, which makes this a must-win recruiting battle.

Michigan is getting competition from other teams in the Big Ten like Wisconsin and Northwestern, while others like Arizona state have also offered Paige. Penn State is another team to watch.

At the same time though, his teammate, Cornell Wheeler is already committed to Michigan football and there is a good chance Paige will follow. Losing him wouldn’t be a killer unless it happens to be to Ohio State.
