Bryce Austin

Throughout Jim Harbaugh’s tenure with Michigan football, the Wolverines have done a great job of recruiting defensive lineman and they are off to a good start with a number of D-line prospects, however, one guy that UM is a little behind with is three-star defensive tackle Bryce Austin.

Austin is the 10th-ranked prospect in the state and the Wolverines have made more of a push with him recently, yet Michigan still isn’t the front runner for Austin, who is projected to commit to Michigan State by 247 sports.

Austin may be just a three-star prospect, but at 6-foot-2, 285 pounds, Austin is a guy that has upside and is still a top-400 target as well as being a top-50 guy among defensive lineman.

While the Spartans and Wolverines are the favorites for the best defensive tackle in the state, Purdue is another team to watch. Michigan is gaining momentum but Austin is the kind of guy this program should be able to get over MSU.
