Michigan Football: Top 5 moments from the Wolverines 2018 season
Michigan football fans are frustrated right now, but there were still some great moments in 2018 and here is a ranking of the top five.
It’s crazy that not too long ago, Michigan football fans thought of 2018 as a dream season, one that was going to end all the suffering and all the pain.
When Michigan football was winning 10 games in a row, a lot of them in dominating fashion, it felt like the team was riding a wave of momentum that was going to take it to the top of the Big Ten.
Oh, how foolish that thinking seems now. It seems that Ohio State was much better than we thought and Michigan is still not as good. Maybe the Ohio State loss, at least the fashion in which it happened was a mirage, just like Chase Winovich said it was.
However, in the end, it doesn’t really matter. Maybe for recruiting it does. But in reality, it was just another bad loss to the Buckeyes, which means at least one more year of waiting for redemption.
Getting past that, there were some really great things that happened in 2018. They seem like a distant memory at times but the Wolverines did go on a three-game revenge tour against Wisconsin, Penn State and Michigan State and they did win 10 games.
It stinks that the best achievement of this season is being the co-Big Ten East champions, even if getting into a New Year’s Six bowl for the second time in three years is significant too.
At any rate, here is a look back at some of the good things that happened in 2018 as we rank the top five moments for the Wolverines from this past season.
