S Daxton Hill

Obviously, the fact that Hill made this list isn’t a big shock. Not only is the Wolverines top-rated incoming player, but he also ranks No. 8 overall and is the nation’s No. 1 safety. At 6-foot, 185 pounds, Hill is one of the best athletes in this class and one of the best athletes Harbaugh has recruited at Michigan.

Hill runs the 40 in 4.3 and he is a very good tackler. He was also a good receiver during his high school days, so he knows how to play the ball. With Tyree Kinnel leaving after the season and Josh Metellus as the lone starter returning, Hill has the perfect opportunity to start right away.

In the secondary, Michigan needs someone like Hill. Someone who can run with just about anyone, while at the same time prove to be an effective tackler.

There are a number of prospects that will make an immediate impact but no one has a better chance to do that than Hill, who will probably end up being at Michigan football for just three seasons. Therefore, UM should get him on the field right away.
