Michigan football locked up 27 recruits as part of its 2019 recruiting class Wednesday and here are the five most likely to play right away.

When it comes to recruiting there are generally two things people really care about. One is the players that actually sign — the other is when can players contribute. And for Michigan football, it looks the Wolverines grabbed more than a few guys that can help right away.

When it comes down to it, this might be the best class that head coach Jim Harbaugh has signed at Michigan football. And while there is still a couple of months to go before national signing day, the Wolverines are ranked No. 8 in the nation right now according to 247sports and have the best class in the Big Ten conference.

The Wolverines landed Daxton Hill, a top-10 prospect and a five-star recruit, while also coming away with 15 four-star prospects. Michigan also appeared to help itself on both sides of the ball.

Offensively, Michigan added key guys at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end, as well as the offensive line. In fact, on the offensive side of the ball, the offensive line might have been the biggest success.

Defensively, Hill is the big stud, but Chris Hinton and Mazi Smith are two others to watch on the defensive line. Anthony Solomon offers promise at linebacker and at corner there is Jalen Perry among others.

It was a good haul for the Wolverines and now, we will take a look at the which five players out of the 27 will make an early impact next season.
