Michigan can still attract elite talent

There is so much overreaction to things in sports and I think there has been a lot of that going on with Michigan football fans in the last month.

Yes, the loss to Ohio State sucked. It ruined a dream season, a chance at the playoffs and any hopes of winning the Big Ten championship. But it was still a step in the right direction. Winning 10 games and playing in a major bowl game is still a good season and the success on the recruiting trail reflects that.

Would Hill really come to Michigan if he didn’t believe the Wolverines were building something? Why not just go to Alabama? The answer is that Michigan is on the verge of great things. You can see it and Hill obviously agreed with that assessment.

And he’s not alone. Trevor Keegan, a four-star offensive tackle that Georgia wanted, picked Michigan over the Bulldogs, just like Hill picked Michigan over Alabama. Fans might be sick of Harbaugh losing the big game, but there is no doubt, on the recruiting trail, he is still among the best coaches in the country.
