9. Michigan conquers Heisman-winner Tim Tebow in 2008 Capital One Bowl

When it was all said and done, Lloyd Carr had a tremendous career as the head coach of the Michigan football program and the 2008 Capital One Bowl was his final game.

That made the non-major bowl extra special for the Wolverines, who finished the regular season a disappointing 8-4 despite having guys like Chad Henne, Mike Hart, Mario Manningham, Jake Long, Shawn Crable and many others.

That group of seniors lost to Ohio State again at the end of the season, missing out on a Big Ten championship and a trip to the Rose Bowl. But, Michigan got the chance to play a highly-ranked Florida team that also boasted Tim Tebow, the Heisman Trophy winner.

Thanks to over 500 total yards of total offense and 373 yards passing from Henne along with three touchdowns, Michigan knocked off Florida that day 41-35. Hart ran for 129 yards and the Wolverines finished 9-4 and ranked in the top 20. Carr also went out the right way. It was also fitting that the win gave him a school-record sixth bowl win.
