The senior running back should play to help improve his stock

Higdon is going to be playing in the NFL next season, there is no question about that. In some promising news that came out last week, both Higdon and Winovich were invited to the Senior Bowl, so that shows what scouts think of Higdon.

Yet, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have work to do. Certainly, he is going to get drafted, but at best, he will get picked on the second day of the draft and the more likely scenario seems to be him going sometime on day three.

According to the Bleacher Report’s big board, Higdon is regarded as a top-10 running back in this class, however, CBS sports only has four listed in the top 100 and Higdon isn’t one of them.

Higdon has put together a really strong season for Michigan football, rushing for 1,178 yards and averaging 5.3 yards per attempt.

But against a good Florida defense, he could help his stock even more with an impressive showing. More than that, like Winovich, I believe Higdon wants to close out his career the right way with a win while pushing himself as far up the all-time Wolverines rushing list as he can.
