Michigan Football: 3 reasons to care about Peach Bowl vs Florida
Michigan can get its second top-10 win under Harbaugh
If there is one thing Michigan hasn’t done under Jim Harbaugh, besides beat Ohio State, it’s beating highly-ranked teams. In nine attempts, the Wolverines have just one win over a top-10 team. That’s not a good record for an elite program and this is a chance to start changing it.
Some might scoff at Florida, but the Gators have a strong resume. They beat the heck out of LSU and posted a 9-3 overall record. Florida doesn’t have an explosive offense but it still scores over 30 points a game and allows only 20.
Make no mistake, Michigan will have to play a quality football game on both sides of the ball to win. And just like the Wolverines, Florida will be hungry. The Gators are also looking to prove they are back and beating Michigan would help make that statement.
Michigan has beaten Florida, however, it still hasn’t won a bowl game this big since 2011 and no matter who the opponent, winning a bowl game like this does good things for your program.
