Higdon has a big day after making the guarantee

There is no doubt that Shea Patterson might be the Wolverines most important offensive player, because he would be the toughest to replace, however, Karan Higdon has been Michigan’s best offensive player.

It has been the kind of senior season you expected from Higdon, who has over 1,100 yards and is going to be playing in the NFL. When you watch him, you don’t see anything incredibly special, but he has the whole package. Higdon has great vision, great toughness, good speed and the ability to make people miss.

He has also been helped this season by a much-improved offensive line. This week, Michigan faces an Ohio State defense that gave up 340 yards rushing last week to Maryland. Terps running back Anthony McFarland got 298 on his own and two touchdowns, so the Wolverines have to be licking their chops.

The Buckeyes haven’t always been bad this year stopping the run but they are allowing 163 yards per game and rank sixth in the Big Ten in rushing yards allowed. Michigan, on the other hand, is fourth in rushing yards with 219 per game. As we all know, Michigan is 8-0 when Higdon has run for more than 100 yards this season and against the Buckeyes, Higdon will get to the century mark.

It won’t come easy but he will break enough big runs to break 100 and he will do his absolute best to back up his guarantee.
