It’s Thanksgiving, one of the best days of the year and here are the top five reasons Michigan football fans have to be thankful for this holiday.

The bottom line is that when it comes to holidays, Thanksgiving is among the best. I mean come on, football, friends, food — it has all the fixings of a perfect day. It’s also the perfect distraction from Michigan football and Ohio State, which is still two, very long days away.

That being said, this season has already been magical for Michigan football and its fans. There was the panic that ensued after the loss to Notre Dame, however, this Wolverines team has proven to be just as good as we all thought to start the season. In all honesty, it might be better.

Back when I was doing my preseason predictions, I predicted Michigan to win 10 games. I thought the Wolverines would beat Notre Dame, lose to Wisconsin and lose to Ohio State.

Obviously, I was wrong about the Irish, although Michigan was the better team and just made too many mistakes. However, Michigan was much better than Wisconsin and right now, everything indicates that the Wolverines are better than Ohio State too.

Yet, as we all know, there have been plenty of instances in this rivalry when the best team doesn’t win. Michigan also hasn’t won in Columbus since the year 2000. Hopefully, this is the year that all the heartbreak comes to an end for the Wolverines.

But either way, it’s been a great year and here are five things you should be thankful for as a Michigan football fan.
