Will the real Jordan Poole please stand up?

Maybe the biggest surprise of the season to this point has been the disappointing play of Jordan Poole on the offensive end of the floor. In two games, playing 28 minutes per night, Poole is averaging just three points.

What’s worse is that he’s shooting just 1-of-10 from the field and 0-of-6 from 3-point range. Before the season, Poole was supposed to be the breakout star for the Wolverines and he was even getting some buzz about going to the NBA after the season.

So far, we haven’t seen that. However, it’s very early and Poole is a guy that likes the big stage, just look at how he played last season in the NCAA tournament. His game-winning shot against Houston will live on forever in Wolverines history, so he’s not shying away from the moment.

Matthews and Brazdeikis have both played well to start the season, but if the offense is going to start clicking, Poole has to start making some shots and while I have really no evidence to back it up, I think he will get things going against Villanova.
