Michigan Football: 3 reasons Wolverines could blowout Penn State
Michigan football should be able to defeat Penn State, but here are three reasons why the Wolverines could roll the Nittany Lions Saturday.
After getting a week off due to a bye, the Michigan football team is going to be back on the field at the Big House Saturday, taking on Penn State.
If you remember, the last time Penn State played the Wolverines, Michigan football was blown out by the score of 42-13. That was a rough night for UM, much like the last time Penn State came to Ann Arbor and was defeated 49-10.
Basically, the two teams have taken turns blowing each other out the past two years. Yet, after the Nittany Lions tried to run up the score in the final minutes a year ago, it seems like the Wolverines will be the team motivated to prove a point.
Defensive coordinator Don Brown said he thinks of the 42 points his defense gave up last season to Penn State every day. No doubt, he and the Wolverines want to right that wrong. I also think they want to send a message.
Not because of the College Football Playoff or anything like that — no Michigan football wants to continue the revenge tour and after the 29 point shellacking Penn State gave the Wolverines a season ago, it’s time for UM to return the favor in kind.
Obviously, beating Penn State, let alone blowing them out will be a challenge. However, here are three reasons the contest Saturday could get out of hand in favor of Michigan.
