A product of Brother Rice High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois, Mark Donahue had a decorated career during his time at Michigan. A two-time All-American, Donahue became the 13th player in school history to accomplish that feat. He was regarded by legendary head coach Bo Schembechler as one of the best linemen he has ever coached.

Not only was Donahue one of the best guards in the history of the program, but during his time at the school, he was a part of some special teams units. In fact, over the course of his career, the Wolverines put together a 38-7 record. This includes a mark of 28-4 within the conference play. He won three Big Ten titles and played in two Rose Bowls.

In addition, Michigan was in a state of dominance during his time in college, as they were nationally ranked in the top-10 in all four of his years. In September of 2016, Donahue was inducted into the Michigan Hall of Honor, and rightfully so, as he was a member of one of the better eras in school history.

For his work, Donahue would end up being drafted in the 11th round of the 1978 NFL Draft, as the Cincinnati Bengals made him the 294th overall selection. He played in two seasons with the Bengals, appearing in 31 of 32 games, before hanging up his cleats for good.
