Michigan Football: 5 predictions for the Wolverines against Michigan State
Who will play and who won’t for Michigan, Michigan State?
To be honest with you, I have no idea what the hell is going on with Rashan Gary. Last Monday, Harbaugh was asked if Gary was going to play against Wisconsin and he said yes. Then, when Saturday rolled around, Gary was standing on the sidelines.
So this week, Harbaugh said he wasn’t talking about injuries, even though they are a huge topic on both sides. Michigan could be without Gary, while the Spartans have a number of injuries at wide receiver, including top target Felton Davis.
Michigan needs Gary, who might be its most talented player, but not as bad as the Spartans need Felton, who had more than 100 yards receiving and a touchdown in the win over Penn State. I expect Davis to play. Honestly, I’d be stunned if he didn’t. He’s just that kind of kid.
I think Gary will go too because if he’s not going to tough it out for the Spartans, he’s not going to do it for any team. This is the biggest game of his college career and if he’s anywhere close to 100 percent, he has to find a way, unless he’s thinking of pulling a Nick Bosa, which could be a concern.
There have also been rumors that Tarik Black might make a return this week. However, it seems more likely he comes back against Penn State after the bye. Injuries are always a big factor at this point in the season and it could ultimately play a huge factor in the outcome.
